CLIENT: WORLD SCIENCE FESTIVAL

Santiago Ramón y Cajal was a pioneering Spanish neuroscientist who specialized in neuroanatomy and the central nervous system. Awarded the Nobel Prize in 1906, his groundbreaking research on the microscopic structure of the brain laid the foundations for modern neuroscience. A gifted artist, Cajal himself created all the neuron drawings featured in the film, which is narrated by Harvard neuroscientist Jeff Lichtman.
